The Delightful Kaju Pista Roll: An Irresistible Indian Sweet Treat
Tumblr media
Indian sweets have always had a unique place in global gastronomy. Among these delicacies, Kaju Pista Rolls hold a special charm. With their vibrant colors, rich flavors, and melt-in-the-mouth texture, kaju pista rolls are perfect for celebrating special occasions or savoring a luxurious snack any time. At Govaa Bazaar, we bring you these premium sweets with authentic taste, high-quality ingredients, and the perfect blend of cashew and pistachio flavors.
In this blog, we’ll dive deep into the world of kaju pista rolls. From their history and ingredients to their benefits and the best ways to enjoy them, let's explore why kaju pista rolls are a must-try!
A Brief History of Kaju Pista Rolls
India’s love for sweets dates back centuries, where every region, culture, and community has its own signature desserts. Kaju pista roll, like many other sweets, is believed to have its origins in North India. Over time, it spread to all corners of the country, with each region putting its own unique twist on the preparation. The star ingredients—cashews (kaju) and pistachios (pista)—have been an essential part of Indian cuisine for generations, symbolizing prosperity and used frequently in festive celebrations.
The combination of cashew and pistachio provides a harmonious blend of flavors and textures, making this sweet a beloved choice for festivals, weddings, and special occasions.
Ingredients: What Makes Kaju Pista Rolls So Special?
1. Cashews (Kaju): Cashews are the primary ingredient, providing a smooth, creamy texture and a delicate flavor that forms the roll's outer layer. Cashews are also high in healthy fats, minerals, and vitamins, contributing to the nutritional value of the sweet.
2. Pistachios (Pista): Pistachios add a rich, nutty flavor and are responsible for the vibrant green color of the filling. This nut is rich in antioxidants and good fats, making it a nutritious choice.
3. Sugar: Sugar adds sweetness, enhancing the natural flavors of the nuts. High-quality sugar ensures a consistent and pleasing texture.
4. Cardamom: Often used for a subtle hint of flavor, cardamom is an optional ingredient but adds a touch of traditional aroma that complements the nuts beautifully.
5. Saffron and Silver Leaf: While saffron may be used for aroma and a hint of luxury, silver leaf or varak is typically used as decoration. It not only adds to the presentation but is also safe for consumption.
At Govaa Bazaar, we ensure that only high-quality ingredients are used to create our kaju pista rolls, making them taste as authentic and delicious as possible.
How Are Kaju Pista Rolls Made?
Crafting kaju pista rolls is a delicate process that requires both skill and precision. Here’s a brief look at how these treats are made:
Preparing the Cashew Dough: Cashews are ground into a fine powder, mixed with sugar syrup, and cooked until a dough-like consistency forms. This mixture is kneaded and rolled out, creating the perfect outer layer for the roll.
Making the Pistachio Filling: Pistachios are similarly ground into a coarse powder and sometimes mixed with a bit of sugar and cardamom to form a slightly sticky filling.
Rolling and Shaping: A layer of cashew dough is flattened, and a thin layer of pistachio filling is placed on top. The cashew layer is then rolled around the pistachio filling to create the roll shape. These rolls are then cut into bite-sized pieces.
Finishing Touches: To enhance visual appeal, silver leaf is often added, making them look as delightful as they taste.
Nutritional Benefits of Kaju Pista Rolls
While kaju pista rolls are an indulgent treat, they also come with nutritional benefits:
Rich in Healthy Fats and Protein: Both cashews and pistachios are packed with monounsaturated fats, beneficial for heart health. They also provide protein, making this sweet a more balanced choice compared to other sugary treats.
High in Vitamins and Minerals: Cashews and pistachios are excellent sources of vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, and B-vitamins, all of which support various bodily functions, including immune health and energy production.
Antioxidant Properties: Pistachios, in particular, contain antioxidants that help combat free radicals in the body, potentially reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
However, while kaju pista rolls offer nutritional value, they should be enjoyed in moderation due to their sugar content.
When to Enjoy Kaju Pista Rolls
1. Festivals and Celebrations: Indian festivals like Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, and Holi are incomplete without sweets. Kaju pista rolls are an ideal choice for sharing with family and friends during these joyous occasions.
2. Weddings and Parties: Weddings and celebrations are the perfect times to indulge in kaju pista rolls. They make for elegant dessert options that guests can enjoy and remember long after the event.
3. Corporate Gifting: Kaju pista rolls are a premium gifting option for corporate events. Beautifully packed, they are a symbol of gratitude and goodwill, making them ideal for professional relationships.
4. Personal Indulgence: Even on a regular day, indulging in kaju pista rolls can lift your mood. They make for a great post-meal dessert or an afternoon snack paired with tea.

Hiii! For the Hanahaki event can I request Vil (romantic) with prompt #7? A gender neutral reader would be appreciated, thanks!!
Also if youre up for it maybe prompt #12 with Ace (Platonic) with the reader’s object of affection still being Vil? This prompt with Ace is too funny for me to ignore I just HAVE to sneak him in 😭😭
Tumblr media
vil schoenheit, platonic!ace trappola x gn!reader [tags] – fluff, humor, semi enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, sickenly sweet [wc} – 3,458 prompt 7: “I've heard of wearing your heart on your sleeve, but wearing petals in your hair is a whole new level of fashion statement.” prompt 12: "No, I haven't been growing marigolds out of my ass. Why would you even ask that?!” note - writing this was surprisingly hard. but i got it and i think it's very cute, i just hope Vil is mostly in character :skull: also i don't know german so idk if the nickname is an accurate translation! comments loved and appreciated! a floral inconvenience
Marigold: often used during festivals like Diwali and Navratri, marigolds symbolize purity, auspiciousness, and the divine.
You were going to murder him.
“Heyyyyyy Prefect!” Ace gave you a cheeky grin as he held your glass bottle of very expensive salicylic acid serum, balancing it precariously between his fingers. “What about this? Can I take this—whoops!”
“ACE!”
You shrieked as the bottle slipped from his fingers, only to be caught by his other hand, an infuriating grin still on his hand.
“Hehe, relax! I’m just messing around—oh shit!” The bottle slipped again from his fingers as a now panicked Ace scrambled to capture it. “Oop. Got it. It’s fine.”
“Oh my gooooooooood, Ace, I’m going to fucking kill you, give that back!” You snatched the bottle from his hands, giving him a good kick behind the knees as you walked past him.
“Owwwww, Prefect, why are you so mean to me?” Ace pouted as you put your serum back on your desk with the rest of the skincare Vil had gifted everyone at the start of the SDC training. Ace continued whining as he packed his bags to go back to Heartslabyul, being left behind by Deuce who went to get snacks from Sam’s with Epel.
He felt bad that all the food you had was cursed by Vil at the beginning.
“It’s almost like you want me out of your dorm, kinda rude, you know.”
“You know what’s rude?” You smacked down the pillow Ace threw your way as you huffed, “Your face. Ugly ass, you know you had a room next door, how’d all your stuff end up in my room?”
Ace shrugged as he shoved his wrapped up sweater into the now bulky backpack he’d brought over, throwing himself onto your bed and grunting as he bounced on the squeaky frame.
“I don’t know, how’d you burn the Queen of Hearts’s statue—”
“That was you—”
“—the world will never know.”
You rolled you eyes as you laid on your stomach next to him, hugging a spare pillow to your face. Closing your eyes, you sighed as the events of the last few weeks replayed in your head. Between acting as manager for the SDC group, to barely keeping up with classes, to Vil’s overblot, you were utterly exhausted. Speaking of Vil…
“Ah, that’s right, I should check on Vil before he leaves. I wonder if he’s doing okay?”
“With you at his beck and call? Perfectly fine, I guarantee you.” Ace yelped as you smacked his side, giving him a red-faced glare.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
Ace turned on his side with a teasing smirk. The kind of smirk he gave you whenever he wanted to fluster and embarrass you in front of your friends and teachers.
“It means whatever you want it to mean. Maybe someone should consider not acting like a little kid with a crush whenever they’re around Vil—owowowowowow—stop hitting me!”
You pounded your fists onto Ace’s sides and back as he tried to roll away from your reach, arms cradling his head in meek protection. He managed to roll off the bed, turning over to look at you briefly to stick his tongue out and politely flip you off. Ace let out a small shriek as you launched off the bed after him, running out of the room into the hall and turning into a goosechase. You could practically hear the yakety sax song playing in your head as the two of you pushed past Jamil and Kalim, the former crying out at you in annoyance.
“Watch it!”
Ace practically threw himself down the stairs, jumping past four whole steps, using the banister to whip him around into the main hallway where he ran into the living room. Finally catching up to him, Ace positioned the coffee table between you two as he continued egging you on.
“Ayeeeeeee, embarrassed Prefect? Gonna throw a fit?” Ace let out a low cackle as you both shifted around the table.
“Gonna throw your ass into the fucking sun, little bitch ass! You got something to say then fucking say it!”
Ace snorted as he pointed behind you. “You’re one to talk, you wanna talk about the marigolds coming from behind you? It’s like you’re growing a garden out of your ass, wanna talk about that?”
“The fuck? I haven't been growing marigolds out of my ass. The hell you’re talking about,” You turned your head to look behind you, still growling at him now with confusion. “Why would you even ask that—WHAT THE FUCK!?”
You hissed as you jumped backwards into the table, the edges jamming into your skin. Behind you had been a long trail of beautiful, shimmering orange flowers. Upon closer inspection, you were pretty sure they were marigolds.
“...Ace, this is your fault.”
“What! Nuh-uh, I’m not the only with flower sickness—”
“The fuck is flower sickness?”
“You know, hanahaki? The love disease? How do you not know what flower sickness is, it’s like basic 8th grade bio—”
“I didn’t go to school here, dumbass!”
Ace’s mouth formed an ‘oh’ shape as he remembered. “Oooooh yeah, I forgot.”
“Forgot what? You little potatoes are acting awfully rowdy so early in the morning.”
You looked up to see Vil standing in the hallway, a bemused Rook behind him inspecting the flowers on the ground. Vil briefly made eye contact with you, both of your sharing a small smile before an irritating, itchy feeling made its way in your throat.
You felt a hand pack your back as you started roughly coughing up several bunches of marigolds into your hands as Ace grimaced.
“I forgot that they’re not from here, so they got no clue about hanahaki…or any other illness…huh it’s kinda a miracle they haven’t gotten sick from something else yet.” Ace hummed, as he leaned down to look at your face.
You made eye contact with your peripheral vision, motioning Ace to lean closer into you and horasely whispered, “Come… closer…”
Confused, Ace obliged, ear up to your lips, giving you the perfect opportunity to sock him straight in the gut. Your dear, beloved friend gagged from the pressure, hands cradling his stomach as he fell to his knees, groaning in pain.
“Y/N…” Vil sighed in exasperation, walking over to give you a gentle flick in your forehead as he chastised you.
“It’s unbecoming of a friend of mine to be so belligerent, do you really have to be so crass with all your friends?”
You clicked your tongue, licking the spit from your lips. “I’m not with you, besides Ace deserves it, you know how he is.”
“Mm-hmm, and how long have you been coughing out the flowers, meine Süße?”
A pleasant warmth flooded your cheeks at the nickname. You choose to ignore the tickling sensation of marigolds growing from the tops of your head, which instead formed into sneezing fits.
“I've heard of wearing your heart on your sleeve, but wearing petals in your hair is a whole new level of fashion statement.” He remarked, leaning down to observe the blooms. “Now, answer my question, meine Süße.”
“Achooo! Ugh,” You sniffled as you replied, “Um, not that long—achoo!—ago, ugh. Just today—”
“Ah! The little trickster started expelling the belles fleurs approximately a month and a half ago!” Rook chirped, a little too happily for your tastes. “Two weeks after we began training for the SDC.”
Vil let out another sigh as you whipped your head to glare at Rook, hissing out, “What. The. Fuck.”
“Excuse me?! Language Y/N!” Vil barked at you, making you flinch and burst into another coughing fit. Noticing this, he softened his voice, though the blonde still sounded angry.
“That’s nearly two months with the flower sickness, have you been taking potions to help with the symptoms?”
You shook your head, clearing your throat. “Ahem, no, uh. I didn’t know that there was medicine for this kinda thing, haaaaa I just figured I was being pranked by someone.”
You heard a snort behind you as Ace stood back up, grumbling, “Of course you would, dumbass.”
“I will actually kill you—”
“You will actually not.” Vil placed a gentle hand on your upper back, guiding you to the front door. “Rook, ensure everyone packs up and cleans their mess by the time we get back, I believe Kalim may still need help packing up.”
“Oui! How kind of you Vil to escort our lovely Trickster to get them a remedy for their affliction!”
Rolling your eyes, you let Vil guide you out of the dorm, calling out to Ace, “Don’t forget to grab the rest of your stuff, it’s still in my room!”
“Okayyy!”
With that, the door shut behind you two as you began a pleasant walk over to what you assumed would be Sam’s shop. A pregnant silence fell over you two as you walked down the pathway leading to main street, having to maneuver past the alchemy building and botanical gardens. You were hyper conscious about his hand that remained on your back, which is when you started another coughing fit.
“Oh you poor dear, did you really have no clue what was going on all this time?” Vil spoke to you in that soft tone that he’d been reserving for you since you first became friends, a few months ago. You’d gone into the Film Research Club interested in working as a stagehand, plus you had a good working knowledge costume design and general clothes repair, which was sorely needed.
It’d been an incredibly rocky acquaintanceship at first, as Vil made subtle, snide remarks on your disheveled appearance, while you shot back with loud, brass comments on his ‘Regina George wannabe’ act. Now, he didn’t know who Regina George was back then, but took offense that a ‘dirty, lumpy potato would have the audacity to insult him’.
He only kept you on in the club because no one ever willingly signed up for backstage work, and you only requested free access to spare cloth and sewing materials to fix your clothes. Vil was also more than happy to point out how scruffy the patches all over your uniforms made you look:
“You certainly fix the part of the ramshackle Prefect, now don’t you?”
Though, looking back on it now, you’re pretty sure he wasn’t aware that everything of yours was either found in Ramshackle’s attic or bought with the meager allowance Crowley gave you. Shortly before finals, Vil found you crying in an isolated part of backstage because another first-year permanently bleached your only jacket during a botched potions class.
Tumblr media
“What’s going on back here, practice your scenes upfront with the rest of us, I don’t care how ugly you look crying—Prefect?”
You jumped, scrambling to get back up from the dusty corner you’d shoved yourself into. You awkwardly wiped the tears from your face, wrapping your arms around yourself as you gave Vil a feeble glare.
“What do you want Vil, I already told the others that their costumes wouldn’t be ready yet, if you want me to get stuff done, you gotta stop annoying me—”
“You’ve been crying.” His simple statement shut you up, as he approached you with a firm look on his face.
“…Yeah, stating the obvious much?” you muttered back, finding the scuff marks on the ground very interesting. Vil let out a sigh, reaching into his jacket to take out an off-white, embroidered handkerchief.
“I’m trying to be sympathetic. Ugh, you’re all red and puffy, let me see.” Vil tipped your chin up with his fingertips, gently patting at the tear streaks on your cheeks. “You look worse than normal…is the red bleach stain on your uniform meant to be a fashion statement?”
Pausing at the stuttering breath you took, sniffling, you answered, “No, some dumba—”
“Language”
“—Some jerk,” you drawled, “from my last class messed up his potion, and it got all over me. Stained my only jacket, right when it starts snowing, too.”
Vil raised a brow at you, leaning back once he was satisfied with your dried cheek.
“Only one? Even Ruggie has a few spare uniform jackets from Leona, did you seriously not think ahead to purchase a spare?”
You half-laughed, half-scoffed at his statement.
“You think Crowley gives me enough money to buy another jacket for his bougie ass—I mean, fancy, school? I barely have enough to feed myself and Grim between the roof caving in and the water pipes breaking. The bathroom flooded again last week.”
You sighed, rubbing your temples as you felt a migraine coming in, unaware of Vil’s growing horror.
“I was lucky enough to find my uniform in the attic, it waaay too big and makes me look homeless, but at least it keeps me warm…now it just looks even more like shit.”
You finally looked up at the blonde, expecting him to lecture you on your foul language. Instead, you were surprised to see Vil’s horrified expression.
“What do you mean, you barely have enough for food?”
Tumblr media
It was then that you discovered that no one outside your group of friends were really aware that you were stuck on campus, victim to Crowley’s whims and needs. You know the others in Heartslabyul were faintly aware of your predicament, being from another world and stuck until Crowley found you a way home. Ace and Deuce did their best to help repair things around the dorm, but could only do so much. Savanaclaw and Octavinelle knew of the disarray of your dorm, but based on comments from Leona and Floyd, weren’t aware of just how much you were struggling just to eat and sleep.
Ruggie definitely was, seeing as he occasionally slipped you a spare meat bun or snack that he happened to buy extra of when running errands for Leona. Ruggie was a real one, as long as you didn’t point it out.
Since that day, Vil had sort of taken you under his wing, along with Epel who you hadn’t met yet at the time. You had to give him credit, he wasn’t the villain you’d made him out to be in your head. And Vil admitted, he enjoyed that you were quick on your feet and enjoyed your banter, as long as it was unique to him.
He spared you his previous uniforms that he’d grown out of his freshman and sophomore year, minus the band and vest, watching as you mended the waist and ends to fix your stature. More often than not, especially after hearing that you’d be stuck by yourself during winter break, Vil was sending you care packages with personal hygiene products from brand deals he never took. He’d send fabrics and sewing supplies with sewing patterns. Vil even started buying you breakfast and lunch once back to school, though you refrained from joining him for dinner in Pomefiore.
In exchange, you managed to replicate, with his help, some of the scripts for the more famous musicals from your world. You even told him who Regina George was! He still wasn't fond of the comparison, but did find the musical intriguing. Vil was fascinated by the works of art your world produced, and just slightly enamored in the way you described them with glee and fondness. Still, the exchanges still felt a bit uneven.
You’d once made the joke that he was practically a sugar daddy, just without the sugar. He snapped back, “Well, I’m not stopping you, now am I? I’ve never had a sweet tooth, but you’re more than welcome to give me thanks, meine Süße.”
(You spent that night screaming into your pillow with a red-hot blush while Grim looked on with concern.)
Truly, you two had developed an unlikely friendship, one where you both spoke your minds to the other with no hesitation or fear. Which is why the lack of conversation at the moment was slowly driving you insane.
You sneaked a peek at Vil, taking a sharp breath as your eyes met his own. It seemed that he was watching you with his very lovely, sharp purple eyes. The thought sent a hot flash through you as you sneezed a flurry of petals and pollen.
“Ooof, ugh, this is gonna make my allergies go haywire.”
“Sam will have some potions that will help with the symptoms, though you will have to confront the root of the cause.” Vil slid his hand down to rest in your mid-back, rubbing his thumb against you in a soothing motion, though it cause you to shiver and flush.
“Yeah, okay.” you managed to squeak out, groaning as you felt the tickle of glowing marigolds pop up on your skin and in your hair. “Ummmm, so how do you get rid of, uh, Ace called it hanahaki?”
Vil nodded and opened his mouth to speak before being interrupted by the faint screaming of your name. Both of you looked down the path, where you saw Deuce running over to you two, followed by a confused Epel chasing after him.
“PREFECT! PREFECTPREFECTPREFECTPREFECT—”
Yelping as Deuce skidded to a half and grabbed you by your arms, shaking you with intense concern, you managed to reply a stuttered, “W-w-what?”
Deuce paused his shaking to give you a concerned lecture, “You didn’t tell us you had the flower sickness!? Why didn’t you say something, you’ve been running around for SDC all this time—”
“You too—”
“But I’m not sick!” Deuce dug through the paperbag you’d just notice he was holding and shoved a pale pink potion in your hands. “Here! Take this!”
Before you could even touch the bottle, Vil plucked it from a confused Deuce’s hands, studying it with scrutiny.
“Hmm…This is an average allergy relief potion for hay fever, did you actually ask Sam for a hanahaki symptom relief potion, or did you just grab the first thing you saw off the shelf?”
Deuce visibly deflated, opening his mouth to sheepishly reply before Epel interrupted him with a harsh, “I told him to ask, but he got all riled up and started yammerin’—I mean, uh, talking about getting the Prefect help immediately.”
Vil sighed, handing Deuce the potion back and shooed the two away with a wave of his hand.
“Just go back, I’ll handle it, just make sure your messes are all cleaned up before we get back.”
The two replied, “Yes sir!” and continued on their path, waving goodbye to you. Though you could hear Epel mumble to Deuce, “Those are marigolds, right? I think Vil’s favorite flowers are those, you don’t think…”
You slowed down to ponder Epel’s words, remembering what Ace initially called the illness.
“Vil…Ace called it a love sickness…would these flowers related toooo, I don’t know, a hypothetical crush somehow?”
Vil briefly opened his mouth, closing it as he hesitated to speak. You think you could make out a soft blush on his cheeks.
“Yes. Your hypothetical crush must favor marigolds. Can’t say I blame him, I’m fond of them myself…”
The two of you made eye contact, a knowing look in his eye and tone making your heart skip a beat and you look down in embarrassment.
“Oh…I see…” You coughed awkwardly, a few petals flying from your mouth. “So you said there was a way to get to the root cause?”
Vil hummed, stopping at the entrance of Sam’s shop to turn to you with an unreadable expression.
“Yes, as an illness based on love, appropriately the cure is to confess your feelings to the one you’ve found yourself fancying.”
A cold flash went through your body as your stomach dropped. Again. “Oh.” The thought of confessing to Vil made you sick, like you could puke at a drop of a coin at any moment.
“I wish you’d mentioned something sooner, I could’ve helped you…ease into it.” Vil murmured,  his hand moving to cradle your cheek. He squished your cheek with a fond look in his eye.
“I know it’s a daunting task…I won’t rush you into it.” Vil moved his hand to brush your hair away, leaning down to place a soft kiss on your forehead. “When you’re ready to say something, just let me know.”
Leaning back, VIl covered his mouth to hide his amused smirk. Your face was a blazing red as the marigolds grew a trail down your neck and chest. He motioned for you to follow him into the shop, holding the door open as he held a hand out to you. At the moment, you’re having a hard time imagining why he’d only ever been typecast in villain roles, he looked more like an enchanting love interest catered for you specifically.
“For now, I’ll be by your side. I will wait for you, meine Süße.”

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT so light up their world, it shall be enjoyed by everyone.
PAIRINGS: no pairings but includes sumeru characters GENRE: modern au but still present in sumeru NOTE: if there's anything wrong here please correct me!! WORD COUNT: 1.7k
Tumblr media
"The spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance."
.
.
"The time to destroy all our dark desires and thoughts, eradicate dark shadows and evils, and gives us the strength to carry on with our goodwill for the rest of the year."
.
.
"So.. can I use my sparkler to scare the evil away?"
Your eyes shifted to one of the kids present in your circle. A small smile formed on your face as you heard the question.
"Well.. yes you can-"
"CMON GUYS LET'S GO!"
"Oh.. at least they're in the spirit." You mumbled to yourself.
You rose from your seat and fixed your skirt. Your eyes lingered on the children, running away and enjoying the view of the sparklers in their hands. Just two minutes ago they were begging for some Diwali stories. Oh well!
"Y/N! You look so beautiful!"
Your attention on the children was moved as soon as you heard a new voice. Your head turned in the direction and noticed the elderly woman who stood right in front of you.
Her eyes shifted from your saree to your accessories, to your bindi. Admiring your beauty on the whole, giving you the warmest smile.
"Thank you ma'am," You replied, returning the smile. Your eyes wandered to her hand, actually to the item in her hand.
"Do you need help?" You asked, stretching out your hand. But to your surprise, the woman shook her head, yet still offering it to you.
"It's actually for you and your parents, your mother helped me once, this is my thanks." She explained, giving you the basket filled of sweets.
"Oh, thank you!"
You took the basket out of her hand and gave her yet another smile. Her eyes made their way onto your hand and offered a suggestion.
"If you want, I can offer to do your mehndi." Her body moved in the opposite direction, showing you a group of ladies who were conversing with each other while letting their mehndi dry.
Your eyes made their way back onto the woman and agreed to her offer, making your mini-departure and beginning your adventure back to your home, with sweets in hand.
The sun had already set, yet the city was not dark. It was lit up, beautiful lanterns everywhere, diyas being lit and placed at the entrances of homes. So your venture back home was well lit, not only with the lights but with the smiles of passersby and children outside who were enjoying the activities.
That elderly woman wasn't a stranger, in fact, everyone who's a local isn't strangers to each other. But that woman always offers gifts to your family every year, so it won't be shocking if your mother has a gift prepared for you to give the woman.
As your home was in view, your mother noticed you as she was opening the windows, in the hope of Mother Lakshmi finding her way inside to bless them with wealth and success.
"Y/N, you're back! Before you return back to the city, can you help me place the diyas around the house? And outside. Please!" Your mother informed you, opening the door for you.
You made your way inside and made it into the kitchen, greeting your father and witness the food on the table.
"I brought snacks, we can eat them later."
Your father nodded at your words, then asked a question.
"Are your friends still coming over?" He asked.
"Cyno and the others? Of course."
With those last words being spoken, your mini activity with your mother started, diyas placed around the house, more attraction for Mother Lakshmi.
Before you left the house once again, your mother gave you a basket of sweets to offer the elderly woman.
Tumblr media
You made your way back to the city, gave the gift to the woman, and got your mehndi done as well! The ladies nearby invited you into their conversation as you let your hands dry.
In the end, once you were finished, you bid them goodbye and left.
On your mini walk, a certain someone caught your attention, she blended in with the children nearby. Talking about children, it's the group from earlier and upon noticing you, they invited you over.
.
.
"That looks amazing, good job guys!" You praised them. The group of children all came together to create rangoli, along with..
"Y/N?" A soft voice reached your ears.
"Nahida, hello." You greeted, bending a bit to reach her level, giving her a small pat on her head. Nahida wore a lehenga, a green one that complimented her eyes.
A small smile made its way onto her face as her eyes shifted from you and back to the children that surrounded her, witnessing the teamwork each kid put into creating the rangoli.
Nahida stood up from her spot and turned to face you.
"Is it time to go? I got caught up with them, I forgot about the invitation to your house." She started.
"No, it's not time, I'm just strolling and then I saw you!" You simply explained, causing the girl to nod at your words.
"Shall I join you?"
"Of course!"
You two then made your way deeper into the city, in hopes of maybe finding your friends along the way.
As you wished, the stroll with Nahida was indeed calming but in doing so, you met up with some familiar faces. That being Tighnari and Collei.
Upon seeing you both, Collei gave you two a cheerful wave as her face lit up. Tighnari noticed and began walking up, Collei slowly following behind.
"Is it time?" He asked. You shook your head no and asked a few questions.
"Have you seen the others?" You asked, though before you could've gotten an answer, Nilou came up from behind.
"I'm here!" She exclaimed, twirling in her saree. She gave you a tight hug, then turned you around, showing Cyno and Candace.
"Everyone's here!" You said, expressing your excitement with a bright smile and clasping your hands together.
"Since we're all together, won't it make sense we make our way back to your house?" Nahida asked, placing all the attention on her.
"Sure, we can." You replied.
The newly formed group of friends followed behind you as you all ventured back, that is.. Until something caught your eye, rather someone.
The group noticed the change in your behavior and stopped walking.
"Is something wrong?" Cyno asked, placing his hand on your shoulder.
You turned to face him, then your friends, and decided to change up the plans.
"Let's go back, but I have a suggestion to make."
"And that us?" Tighnari asked.
"I'll explain once we get back. let's go."
Tumblr media
"May the lights of Diwali brighten your path and illuminate your life with peace and joy."
.
.
"Is everything ready?"
.
.
In your hands held a lantern, making your way with not only your friends but everyone you've talked to tonight, that elderly woman, the children, the ladies, and your parents, all holding diyas, lanterns, sweets, and tasty food.
The sight was wondrous, everyone came together yet the plan wasn't completed, not as yet.
You, being the first and the only person to notice, made your way to the dark and silent home, a bit far from the city's light. Silently, you rested the lantern on the floor and knocked on the door.
Knock!
.
.
"What do you want."
"For you to open up of course."
"Then you'll be waiting there all night long."
.
.
"You're still there aren't you..?"
"Mhm!"
Just then, you heard a sigh from the other side causing you to laugh a bit. You picked back up your lantern as he opened up the door, glaring at you.
"Why are you here? You're supposed to be enjoying the festival."
You smiled at the mention of the festival.
"I'm here to bring the festival to you Scaramouche."
"Why?"
"I saw you peeking in the darkness, I know you want to join in, but too scared to ruin it, is that what you're thinking?"
Indeed that is what he was exactly thinking. Yet he won't admit to that.
"Just go back." He ended, about to close the door but his eyes caught onto the light in the background, rather at how the light got closer..
Then it hit him.
"What are you.."
"Like I said, bringing the festival to you, everyone should enjoy the warmth of Diwali." You explained with a warm smile.
His eyes softened for a second yet he hid it with a sigh and walked off into the darkness, leaving his door open.
You accepted his silent invitation, before entering you hung the lantern up outside his home and walked in.
The darkness and silence were soon removed as everyone slowly made it inside. The children, along with Nahdia all came in with diyas, placing them around his home.
Your mother placed the food on the table, then made her way to open his windows.
Others with sweets and more food placed them on the table as well, joining the others as they all began to share them with everyone.
His eyes witnessed how slowly his house changed, light everywhere, friends and family inside and outside, all chatting and laughing.
You made your way towards him, holding a diya.
"Do you wanna decorate this?"
His eyes shifted onto you, and then asked a simple question.
"Why did you do this?"
You turned to face everyone, who had sparklers, who ate, and who were just enjoying the mood.
"Diwali is the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. It's celebrated with everyone, I won't allow anyone to be alone in darkness at a time like this."
"Hm." His eyes lingered on the children who decided to create a rangoli in the middle of his living room.
Nahida walked up to him with a sparkler in her hand.
"This represent the light that dispels the darkness of ignorance and evil, and also.." She started, grabbing his hand and walked outside.
Everyone followed behind, all making their way outside.
The sound of fireworks caught the attentions as it lit up the sky.
"These also represent the light." She finished.
Nilou, along with a few younger girls all danced around with their sparklers. Cyno, Tighnari and Collei enjoyed the sight of the fireworks.
"Happy Diwali." You said, turning to face the duo.
"Happy Diwali"
.
.
"Do you still wanna decorate this diya?"
"Yeah sure, whatever.."

Negotiation (Dazai x Reader)
Tumblr media
Pushing the chubby Dazai agenda, he's so cute! Look at his little belly, im gonna cry it's so cute!! Missing him terribly.
In which we bribe him with affection and feed him
Read my other dazai oneshots here, here & here This has been in my draft for soo long, but I got a job and forgot about it. Happy late Diwali!
Bye now - Mars ♡
Tumblr media
Out of everything you saw yourself doing this year, dating an overdramatic enigmatic manchild who whines like a baby was not one of them.
How did you get here? You started officially dating Dazai a few months ago, you two were exclusive. Before that you probably fooled around for a year, flirting here and there, and going on dates, random hook ups but somewhere along the way, you fell for each other. Hard.
It did have a trial and error period and you did have to set some firm boundaries, because as much as fooling around with him was fun, you craved the security of knowing this wasn’t some meaningless fling to him.
Fast forward to being exclusive with Dazai, he’s an amazing partner. His genius brain is quick to pick up on even the smallest changes and he reads you like an open book. He’s affectionate and he always finds money, granted never his own, to spend on you. He’s great in bed and he’s sweet with words. The list goes on. He’s almost perfect.
However, he’s not the best at opening up, he can talk your ear off without revealing a single thing about his mind. His heart. He also tends to neglect himself very much, at first you thought it was just temporary work stress but even when he’s away from work he does it.
At first you noticed how he only puts in efforts when you’re around, and the longer your relationship went on, the less effort he made. The biggest issue you have is how he so carelessly skips meals. It makes you angry but after some thoughts and rants to your cat, you’ve decided to bribe him.
You wanted to be subtle about it but honestly, he probably already picked up on it. You’re convinced he just allows you to do what you want.
You started off small and your plan was to gradually build him up to regular meals.
The first time you did it, it was as simple as feeding him a bite from your snack. A simple yogurt bowl with fruits and a “Mm, try this, it’s good” and stuffing his mouth with a spoonful of yogurt and berries.
That became a regular habit you did, giving him small bites of your snacks whether that be protein bars, cookies, chocolates. This then transferred into your meals, purposefully adding more to your plate so you can whine about not finishing it and offering the rest to him so he can.
That didn’t last long, he quickly caught on your little act and urge you to feed it to your cat instead.
Then the brilliant idea of bribing him with kisses and affection to eat came about. It started with an argument and then you two not speaking for two days. Angry as you were, you decided to deny him of your hugs and you two slept with you backs to each other, you slept at least. Dazai stayed up and drank his feelings. The second night he didn’t even come home, God knows where he were.
The third day you two resolved your little conflict and with some probing, sweet words, kissing and negotiation you got Dazai to eat at least one full meal a day.
You both agreed on that. Baby steps, one meal a day, it’s better than drinking alcohol and eating tinned crab almost every day.
Right now, you were both on the couch, you on his lap with his arms lazily slung around you. You had a small bowl of rice and stir-fried vegetables along with some eggs.
You held the chopsticks up to his lips and looks at him in his eyes, “Please” you looked down at his lips, “For me” you watched as he hesitantly opened his mouth and took the food and chewed and swallowed.
Placing a kiss on his forehead you praised him for his first bite.
Then you repeated that until the bowl of food was almost finished, feeding him, kissing him, praising him.
After he managed to finish, you placed the bowl down and caress his cheeks, “You did so good, m’proud” you mumbled and kisses him. Your hands cupped his face, lips brushing against his cheeks, the tip of his nose, the crease of his brows, his temple, his jawline. Just anywhere your lips found, you placed sweet kisses.
He smiled and you felt like you’d melt away and fall off the couch if it weren’t for his arms around you. “Thank you, Bella” He mumbles quietly, and you can’t help but capture his lips in another sweet kiss. You feel his hands squeeze your waist, pulling you closer to him as he desperately returns your kiss.
He pulls away from you, his brows furrowed, and he belched and it catches you off guard. Dazai looks at you, awaiting your reaction and when he saw your smile and heard a little giggle, it triggered his own smile.
“I really am proud of you, Osamu”

Reflections on Weathering a Storm.
I ate a lot yesterday and went to sleep at a ridiculous time. I woke up (late) to a sunny autumnal day. I felt good today. Better than I have done all week. Some sense of stress or pain seems to have lifted or at least eased.
I think cutting myself slack this week on the diet front (and to some degree on the workout front too) has both been necessary and beneficial. A wise decision - as long as I get back on track soon.
I guess I was more stressed out and depressed than I wanted to admit to myself.
I've been avoiding people too this week. Because I know I needed time to myself, and that also has been the correct decision. Sure, maybe talking to people would have been helpful. This coming week I will have to reach out and make whatever amends are necessary. People are either going to understand or not understand, and I'll deal with the consequences either way.
I'm still fighting the temptation of eating sugar. The temptations are much more muted than when I started the sugar-free protocol, but they are still there. I find myself thinking about or tempted to buy cookies, chocolates and of course Indian Sweets.
It hasn't even been a full week since I decided to start the sugar-free protocol, so I guess that's not a surprise. It's interesting to note that it feels like its been longer than a week already.
Today was another day of pretty much no restraint on the food front - apart from the no processed sugar rule of course. I also decided not to buy fries and instead just eat some oven baked wedges - which was a good decision and required almost zero willpower.
Taking photos of everything I have been eating recently - or at least trying to do so - has been a great decision. It's one thing to look at some text in a food tracking app about what you've been eating, and its an entirely other thing to see visual evidence of your choices. I was looking back in the Photos app on Mac, of the past couple of weeks of photos and I can really see how I have not been making the kind of food choices I would make when I was really being successful and diligent in cutting.
I still haven't updated my most important diet and fitness tracking systems. I will do that tomorrow - perhaps first thing.
I also need to start putting more controls back on my diet. My mood is significantly better, and whilst I'll be checking in with myself on this over Diwali, I do want to get back on track with my fitness goals.
So from tomorrow:
no more crisps (chips)
no more fried indian snacks
start eating meals which are more like my typical cutting diet
eat more veggies
eat more berries
eat more egg whites
start focussing on consistently hitting my protein target
ease up on drinking calories (reduce intake of whole milk, switch back over to coconut milk)
sort out my sleep
start meditating again - 1 x 20 min session every day
slowing reign in the calorie intake, keeping an eye on my mood, mindset, stress and general well being.
I think I'm past the worst part of the emotional turbulence this time of year can bring me. I know I'll have one more rough spot before Christmas and New Year, so I want to get back "locked in" on hitting my fitness and other goals.

Diwali Imagine Enhypen–
Was out celebrating when I decided to make this. I have txt and skz one's if you wanna check them out!
Happy Diwali!
Tumblr media
Just close you eyes and wonder how it's gonna be spending such a festive day with enhypen, and how much you're gonna enjoy it. Heeseung's gonna be the one in charge of giving out the sparklers to everyone. He's a little biased so a naughty one is only going to get one, and gets promised that he'll be handed another one later only for them to be gone, while a nice kid is going to be given four of them at a time. Jay is going to be chilling with the uncles, making bad dad jokes, and adjusting his glasses from time to time. He also falls asleep right as the big and loud fireworks come out, missing all of it while he snores in a plastic chair. Jake is so energetic and hyped like he's gonna be talking about it for days. He already has his fireworks picked out and ready to light up. I bet he's gonna look so cute with his traditional wear. Sunghoon is just wandering around, trying to find something to do. Or he's just playing Roblox on his iPad, trying to beat the other kids in epic minigames or in obbies. Also, he wears so much for what? Like he's so extra, but it's okay. Sunoo is with the aunties or even with you, picking out expensive jewelry and sari's, color coordinating everything. He makes sure that the decorations are perfect, and honestly, without him, everything is a complete disaster. Jungwon is eating all of the snacks set up on the table. He literally engulfs platters over platters of sweets because they're just so addicting. You're not surprised if he wakes up with an enormous cavity. Last but not least, Niki is going to be an absolute menace. He steals Jake's fireworks, sets a leaf on fire, burns someone, has someone (jay) trip over the lights, and knocks over the lamps. But without him, Diwali would've been slightly uneventful.
And you're out there with all of your friends and family, celebrating joyfully when you notice one of the boys move the sparkler weirdly. Not realizing that he was writing your name, swallowed by a huge heart that barely even depicts his love for you!

Unique Diwali Gift Ideas for Your Loved Ones
Diwali, the festival of lights, is a time to celebrate with family and friends. Choosing the perfect gift for your loved ones can make the occasion even more special. Here are some unique Diwali gift ideas that will brighten up their celebration:
1. Personalized Gifts
Personalized gifts add a special touch. You could get custom-made items like photo frames, mugs, or keychains with their names or a memorable date. These gifts show thoughtfulness and create lasting memories.
2. Handmade Candles
Handmade candles are a beautiful and practical gift. You can find candles in various shapes and scents. Opt for ones with a festive touch, like those in the shape of Diwali diyas (lamps) or with fragrant spices.
3. Decorative Lanterns
Brighten up their home with decorative lanterns. Choose ones with colorful designs or traditional motifs. They can use them to add a festive glow to their Diwali decorations.
4. Ethnic Wear
Traditional clothing, such as sarees or kurtas, makes for a stylish and appreciated gift. You can choose from a range of fabrics and designs to suit their taste and the festive mood.
5. Sweet Treats
Diwali is synonymous with sweets. Instead of the usual store-bought boxes, consider gifting homemade sweets or gourmet treats. You could also include a recipe card for a personal touch.
6. Artisan Crafts
Support local artisans by gifting handmade crafts. This could be anything from intricate jewelry to beautiful pottery. Artisan crafts are unique and help your loved ones discover something special.
7. Eco-Friendly Gifts
For those who are environmentally conscious, eco-friendly gifts are a great option. Think along the lines of reusable items like bamboo utensils, organic cotton bags, or plant-based products.
8. Subscription Boxes
Subscription boxes are a fun and ongoing gift. Choose one that matches their interests, whether it’s gourmet foods, books, or beauty products. They’ll think of you every time their box arrives.
9. Indoor Plants
Indoor plants not only add a touch of nature to their home but also help purify the air. Choose low-maintenance plants like succulents or peace lilies that are perfect for indoor settings.
10. DIY Gift Baskets
Create a personalized gift basket with a mix of their favorite items. You could include snacks, candles, beauty products, or small gadgets. Tailoring the basket to their preferences shows extra thought and care.
Choosing a gift that reflects the personality and interests of your loved ones will make your Diwali celebrations even more memorable. Happy Diwali!
